As you may know, I have been struggling with morning sickness. These last couple of days have been particularly hard. I haven't been able to to keep anything down in the morning and I usually end up throwing up sometime during the night. One plus about that is that I'm finally able to sleep once I do. I pretty much toss & turn until I do. I had to take Monday off cause my throat was sore & swollen from throwing up. That & I slept in until almost noon. I'm just about to enter my 12th week! I'm 10 weeks & 6 days pregnant or 11 weeks depending upon the counter. I'm hoping that within the next week to three weeks I will be able to say goodbye to morning sickness & hello to the best trimester I think there is. It seems to be the one with less blah stuff associated with it. haha
Anyway the point to this blog was to see if anyone out there that I know that has been pregnant has not been able to handle milk during their first trimester or any trimester for that matter. It seems that I throw up the most when I have a dairy product. Trying to find alternate ways of getting the calcium I need as I don't think it does much good just throwing it up all the time. Jeffrey thinks that maybe my internal temperature is too high for milk right now & therefore curdles and makes me sick. Just one theory. Any thoughts or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I'm off to bed. I've got to get a little more rest in me before I work 8 hours, clean house & cook dinner for the missionaries plus I'm getting nauseous again. Hugs

I could never handle Milk either, Or Cottage Cheese, or anything dairy.. Sorry to hear. Just eat what you can keep down.. It will pass.. Eventually.. Good luck girl.. Love you..
Thanks Nae. Has anyone ever thrown up bile before? I think I did this last visit to the bathroom. It was a dark yellow substance and extremely bitter. I had all ready thrown up the strawberry yogurt that I had eaten earlier in the morning and hadn't had anything else to eat. So nothing in my stomach would be yellow and hadn't had any medicine so nothing that bitter tasting. Drinking some water now and I had something to eat. Think I am going to go lay down again. Hugs
I used to throw up the bile. It basically is because you have nothing else left to throw up. Hang it there. It is totally worth it
Hey, Precious - sorry you got stuck with morning sickness. No words of wisdom from me on that front. The post is mainly to offer my sympathy and to mention how special it is that you have so many Moms :) I get a kick out of it. Just think of how many grandparents this child is going to have!!
Love you -
Can't help you on this one, I never had any problem drinking milk while you were developing into a full grown fetus. I have to admit I was a little removed from the experience at the time. Hang in there, "this too shall pass"!
On the getting the calcium you need, try the calcium fortified orange juice. You can also try settling your stomach by drinking warm water with peppermint extract in it. Not too much, just a drop or two in a cup of water. You can also put in a little sugar if it is too bitter by itself. I didn't have a problem with dairy, just tomato stuff. I also didn't take any prenatal vitamins, which I have heard make morning sickness worse. Sorry if none of this helps.
